Seishin Judokwai

The club has been established in the region of 25yrs and is run by head coach, Dave Steadman. We welcome children and adults of all abilities to come and learn or practice our sport. If you are new to Judo or returning after a break you are welcome to come along;

We run on:
Wednesday..7pm until 9pm
Friday.....7pm until 9pm

Licence and fees:
As we practice a full contact sport, a licence for insurance purposes must be held in order to participate in Judo. For new starter's, your first two sesions are free and you then have the option of purchaseing either a full annual licence or a temporary licence at £6.50. This will include insurance cover and is valid for 3 months. Thereafter if the students wishes to continue with the sport, he/she must apply for a full license which last for 12 months. The full license then allows the students to take part in competitions and gradings. Prices are £26 for junior's and £31 for senior's
Session costs are £2.00 and the first two session's are free. There are discounts available for multiple family member's.
Dress code and etiquete:
Firstly we ask that all member's and prospective member's turn up to the dojo prior to 7pm. This is the time we start. As a mark of respect to your coach you should be on time and line up with everyone else !
Hygiene is an important part of our sport, you work closely with other judoka and it would be disrespectful to train if you are not clean.
Girls; you will be required to wear a white t-shirt under your jacket as part of the uniform, Boy's do not wear anything under their jackets.
Boys and Girls; nails must be kept short and clean and no body pierceings are allowed as they could catch on clothing etc.

Footwear: Wear Zori's (flipflops) to the club and bare feet when on the matt unless there is a medical reason to wear sock's. When attending gradings or competitions these are compulsory.

New starter's
